Black Hot/Iced Coffee Recipe
Ingredients:
For the Coffee:
- 1 cup freshly ground coffee beans (medium grind)
- 4 cups filtered water
For Iced Coffee:
- Ice cubes
Optional:
- Sweetener of choice (sugar, honey, agave syrup, etc.)
- Milk or cream (if you prefer your coffee with some dairy)
Instructions:
Brewing the Coffee:
- If you have a coffee maker, follow its instructions for brewing coffee. Otherwise, you can use a French press or a pour-over method.
- For a coffee maker, add the freshly ground coffee to the filter, pour the filtered water into the reservoir, and start the brewing process.
- For a French press, add the coffee grounds to the carafe, pour the hot water over the grounds, stir gently, and let it steep for about 4 minutes before pressing down the plunger.
- For a pour-over, place a coffee filter in the dripper, add the coffee grounds, pour a small amount of hot water over the grounds to bloom them, then slowly pour the rest of the hot water in a circular motion.
Making Hot Black Coffee:
- Once the coffee is brewed, pour it into your coffee mug.
Sweetening and Adding Dairy (Optional):
- If you prefer your hot coffee with sweetener, add it to your taste preferences. Start with a small amount and adjust as needed. Stir well until the sweetener dissolves.
- If you like your coffee with some dairy, you can add a splash of milk or cream to your liking. This step is entirely optional and not necessary if you want to keep your coffee black.
Making Iced Black Coffee:
- If you're making iced coffee, let the freshly brewed coffee cool down for a few minutes.
- Fill a glass with ice cubes.
- Pour the cooled coffee over the ice, filling the glass to your desired level.
Sweetening (Optional) for Iced Coffee:
- If you prefer your iced coffee sweetened, add the sweetener to the glass. Stir well until the sweetener dissolves.
Enjoy:
- Your hot or iced black coffee is now ready to be enjoyed! Sip and appreciate the pure, unadulterated flavor of black coffee.
Feel free to adjust the strength of the coffee by adding more or less water to suit your taste preferences. Additionally, you can experiment with different coffee beans and roasts to find the perfect cup of black coffee that you enjoy the most. Remember, black coffee is all about the rich and robust coffee flavor without any additives, so take your time to appreciate its unique taste.
